In many cases printed material is the best way to provide information, generate sales interest or prompt action. Here are some practical tips to make your print greener. Start slowly: each of these tips is a step in the right direction.
Tip 1
Keep the environment in mind from the design stage. Choose a final size that makes the most efficient use of standard paper sizes. Using less ink often saves time, paper and money. Involve designers and printers early in the process.

Print on recycled paper containing at least 30% post-consumer waste.
Tip 3
Reduce the number of printed pages in handouts, event materials and manuals. Put 3, 4 or even 6 slides on a page. Reduce indents and paragraph spacing. Use the smallest legible font size: 10 pt generally works for Arial or Helvetica, 11 pt for Times New Roman. Print handouts and books double-sided.
